Location: Lake Como, Italy

Dates: September 17-24, 2018

Description: Spend a week painting with me in the breathtaking Alpine Lake region of Italy on beautiful Lake Como.

Victoria teaches primarily in oil, but also teaches acrylic and watercolor. She will teach you how to paint water and reflections, capturing brightly colored buildings against cobalt skies and the turquoise lake. Learn to paint a boat or a whole harbor as Victoria teaches you the methods of simplicity. Capture the glorious colors of the Lake Como in your paintings.

This workshop includes demonstrations, instruction, guidance and critiques. You will have lots of inspiration to sandy coves, pristine beaches and colorful harbors.

Experience the thrill and beauty of Italy’s Lake Como, and even more so, taking these memories you’ve created home with you! This workshop is for beginners to advanced artists and will be conducted outdoors on location.

During the week we will be based in Varenna right on Lake Como! We will also visit the villages of Belaggio, Tremezzo, Menaggio and Lenno with quality time for plenty of sketching and painting at each of the towns we visit.

And, in true Toscana Americana Workshops style, we will move about the lake by boat and explore the local Italian culture, cuisine and wines while dining in local restaurants never far from the waters of Lake Como! This is bound to be a wonderful week with plenty of opportunity to paint “plein air” in a relaxed and inspirational setting!

Participants are required to provide their own art supplies, preferred paints, brushes & tools.

Workshop is open to painters of all levels. Whether you are a novice just learning to mix color, or a professional needing advanced problem solving, Individualized and group instruction will address needs at your level and push you to the next step in your personal development.

Included: All meals and daily aperitif. Seven nights’ accommodations in Lake Como, Local transportation. Class size is limited to 12.
